Marijuana use in Wisconsin

Marijuana is still the most readily available and most commonly used drug in Wisconsin. Milwaukee and Madison are both major destinations for Mexico-cultivated cannabis and transshipment points to other areas in the state. This is expanded by local cultivation. The Wisconsin DNE further reports that one-fourth of all cannabis users also abuse other substances. According to the WDPI, the percentage of students who admitted marijuana use in the previous month doubled from 1993 (11%) to 1999 (22%).
